How do I know my data is safe?

As a manufacturer, Bosch takes great care over appliance details and its approach to your personal details is no different. To protect your information, Home Connect only works with encrypted Wi-Fi networks. What’s more, with the help of independent experts, we run regular system checks to stay ahead of cyberthreats.

In fact, Home Connect has earned the TÜV TRUST IT Trusted App quality seal label, which is your assurance that it’s secure and won’t spy on your data.

Do I need a special router to use Home Connect?

No. If your phone, tablet or other devices can connect to the Internet via your router, you shouldn’t have a problem with Home Connect.

How do I know if my Wi-Fi network extends to where my appliance is?

Take your Wi-Fi-enabled smartphone or tablet to where your appliance is and check how many bars you see in the Wi-Fi icon. Alternatively, you can download an app to analyse the signal strength.

Can several devices access my smart appliances at the same time?

Yes, you can connect to your appliance with a number of mobile devices at the same time.

Can I delete my Home Connect account if I want to?

Yes, you can delete your Home Connect account at any time. You can do so from the Settings section in the app. As a result, you will no longer be able to use your appliance’s smart functions.
