A festive dinner also includes table decorations. Of course, you can always roll your napkins and put napkin rings around them - but if you want to go for a fancier design, here are some ideas to turn your table from everyday to festive.
The Marquée is for all napkin-folding beginners and can even be done while your guests are knocking on your door. Plus: nearly every type of material is compatible with this folding technique.

Step 1
Unfold the napkin into a rectangle and lay it on the table with the inside of the folded seam facing up.

Step 2
Take the upper right corner and fold it, bringing the corner towards the lower edge of the napkin. The folded part should make a triangle, which will stabilise the structure.

Step 3
Form a cone by lightly rolling the folded right corner towards the left. Stop when the cone reaches the lower left side.

Step 4
Take the upper left corner and gently roll it towards the middle.

Now, place the finished cone on the table with the tip pointing up.
