A festive dinner also includes table decorations. Of course, you can always roll your napkins and put napkin rings around them - but if you want to go for a fancier design, here are some ideas to turn your table from everyday to festive.
It takes a few minutes to fold a Rose, but it’s the perfect table decoration for romantic occasions – or if you want to impress your friends. The Rose flourishes best with rather stiff materials.
Difficulty level: Advanced
Step 1
Unfold the napkin and lay it flat on the table with the printed or dyed side face down.
Step 2
Fold a corner in to the middle.
Step 3
Repeat with the other three corners to make a smaller square.
Step 4
Fold all four corners in to the middle again to create an even smaller square.
Step 5
Important: Flip the napkin over
Step 6
Fold a corner in to the middle.
Step 7
Repeat with the other three corners.
Step 8
This is where it gets a bit harder! Feel under the napkin and grab the corner point of one of the folds. Hold the middle of the square down with your other hand and slowly pull the corner from the underside to the front of the napkin. You’ve now got your first petal.
Step 9
Carefully repeat the process for all corners, bringing them from the back to the front of the napkin.
